Latest in RaceStudio 3 Beta
More Reliable Wi-Fi Communication
Wi-Fi communication with AiM devices has been reviewed from end to end. Windows background network scanning no longer interrupts a transfer while RaceStudio 3 is talking to a device, connection handling and data transfers are more robust, and device traffic is now strictly bound to the Wi-Fi adapter actually connected to the instrument. Upcoming device firmware completes the picture, removing the cause of the slow switching between devices that was observed on some company-managed PCs.
Two Knowledge Base articles tell the whole story:
Wi-Fi Communication Improvements in RaceStudio 3 and AiM Device Firmware describes what has been improved and what to expect after updating.
Resolving Slow Wi-Fi Device Switching on Windows AD Domain-Joined PCs is addressed to the IT staff of teams working with company-managed PCs.
Other Features
Apart from that, the beta channel is currently aligned with the production stable channel: every feature listed for the stable release is in beta as well. See Latest in RaceStudio 3 Release for the complete list, and the beta release history for the build by build detail.
